Saimir Reçi has been declared wanted by the police since immediately after today's assassination where Martin Bardhi and three other innocent people were killed, he was not found in the premises of his apartment and business.
He is suspected of being the main orchestrator of this assassination attempt, so based on these suspicions, the Lezha police requested his escort to interrogate him.
But Reçi has not yet been found by the police, although the blue uniforms have gone to the premises of his house. The conflict between the two Reçi-Bardhi tribes started because of a weak conflict between the son of Martin Bardhi, Enriku, which happened in March 2023.
As a result of this conflict, Saimir Reçi, grandson of Kastriot Reçi, who was killed three years ago by a sniper in the center of Rreshen, was shot.
At that time, the police declared Martin Marku alias Bardhi and his son, Enrik Bardhi, wanted. 58-year-old Martin Bardhi surrendered to the police claiming that he had nothing to do with the incident and was in another place when the gun attack on Saimir Reç happened. Based on the video and photo evidence, the court of Lezha decided to release Martin Bardhi from prison, assigning the security measure "obligation to appear".
Three months after his release, today Martin Bardhi is executed with a barrage of bullets. While his son, Enriku, is still searching. In this assassination, Ilir Bardhoku, former director in the municipality of Mirdita, Olti Gjini, owner of the bar, and Indrit Bardhi were seriously injured.
