New details have come to light regarding the serious incident that happened today in Rrëshen, where Martin Bardhi lost his life as a result of gunshots. He was killed in front of the bar owned by him, while 3 other people were injured.
The first suspicions are that the incident took place for revenge. This is due to conflicts between the Bardhi and Reçi tribes.
"We are carrying out the first procedural actions at the scene. We are still in the first phase. The conflicts that the Bardhi tribe has had with other tribes are known, and we are working on clarifying the identification as soon as possible and catching the perpetrators", said the director of the Police, Alfred Elezi.
Martin Bardhi had just been released from the prison cell. He was left with a mandatory appearance security measure after he was arrested in March as one of the perpetrators involved in the assassination of Saimir Reçi in Rrëshen.
Today's attack has something in common with the event that happened 6 months ago, which is the date of the crime. On March 26, Saimir Reçi was shot, while on September 26, Martin Bardhi was killed.
In connection with the event of a few months ago, Martin Bardhi's son, Erindi, and one of their cousins, 28 years old, are wanted for attempted murder and possession of weapons without a permit.
We remember that at that time shots were fired at Reç's armored car. The latter lost control of the car and collided with a curb, but was not injured. Saimir Reçi is the nephew of Kastriot Reçi, who in 2020 was executed by sniper in the center of Rrëshen.
Everything happened after Erind Bardhi first had a conflict with Saimir Reçi in the center of Rreşen for a parking space and after this moment he went to the apartment to get the gun.
The authorities have found an off-road type car on fire, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators, in the village of Gëziq in Mirdita. However so far, there is no sign of them.
FNSH and RENEA also went to the aid of the local police, while several checkpoints were set up in the direction of Kukës, Laçi, Lezha and Dibra.
