Tragic incident in Gramsh, one victim and two injured
New details have emerged from the tragic accident that occurred in Bardhan, Gramsh, where a truck-type vehicle, transporting two public service employees to remote areas, ended up in an abyss, causing one victim and two seriously injured.
In the vehicle traveling on the Kabash-Porocan axis were Dëshira Hoxha, a nurse; Albana Boja, a teacher; and Shaban Kotorri, the driver.
It is reported that nurse Dëshira Hoxha has passed away, being confirmed as one of the victims of the accident. Teacher Albana Boja was seriously injured and was transported in critical condition to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, while the driver of the pickup truck is in serious condition and has been sent for medical treatment to the Gramsh hospital. It is learned that the driver of the vehicle communicated in the operating room, who, although in serious condition, reported that the teacher and the nurse had passed away after the accident.
" On the "Gramsh-Porocan" road, the truck driven by citizen Sh. K., 38 years old, went off the road. As a result of the accident, the truck driver, citizen Sh. K., and citizen AB, a passenger, were injured and transported to the hospital for medical assistance, while citizen DH, 43 years old, a passenger in the truck, lost her life. The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident ," the police announced.
The incident, in addition to the human tragedy, has also brought to light a bitter reality; teachers and nurses in rural areas travel in inadequate vehicles, without any safety standards, as transport goods, to get to work. In this case, it was a truck carrying basic state services; a painful irony for a country that claims to offer dignified care and education for all.
Traffic Police and investigative groups are at the scene, while official expertise is awaited to clarify the full causes.
