56-year-old Mikel Ndoj, who stabbed his 24-year-old daughter, Jessica Ndoj, in Durrës, has been arrested.
The 24-year-old was injured this Monday morning in neighborhood no. 12 of the city of Durrës. She was stabbed several times by her father.
Citizen Onard Memlika, who tried to save the young woman from her father's barbarity, was also injured. The two injured were rushed to Durrës hospital, where they are reported to be out of danger. Blood stains remained on the asphalt.
How did the incident happen?
The crime occurred on the street, near the real estate agency where the 24-year-old worked. Her father, with a knife in his hand, went to work and after an argument, stabbed her outside the agency. Meanwhile, Memlika, who was passing by on the street, tried to stop Ndoj, but was injured himself.
"On 26.01.2026, at around 10:03, citizen MN, 56 years old, under still unclear circumstances, injured his daughter, citizen Xh. N., 24 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 12, Durrës, with a cutting tool (knife) on the street. Citizen OM, a passerby who intervened when the father injured the daughter with a cutting tool (knife), was also injured. The injured are in the Durrës Regional Hospital, under the care of doctors, out of danger to their lives," the Police announced.
