The Chief of Crimes in Durrës, Elton Shahini, has told how they discovered the serious crime in Durrës, where the three children killed their father Pëllumb Meta. Shahini says that after the eldest son has reported the missing father, the investigations have started.

Initially, the family informed us that their father ran away from the apartment several times after consuming alcoholic beverages. Investigations continued and a series of investigative actions, surveillance of security cameras, several leads were raised, among which was also the family conflict. The family members were asked several times and to some extent they had a version, but after our insistence they had contradictions. We suspected this was a domestic crime. Hyseni began to give in and at one point stated that the author of the disappearance is a close family member. The sister took the crime and told us about the place where the father was buried.
