On the night of the change of years, the General Director of the State Police inspected the police officers on duty and conveyed congratulations to the citizens and officers.
During the visit, he thanked and congratulated the employees for their commitment and sacrifice, stressing that "the beauty of our mission lies in human sacrifice for the benefit of citizens."
"The celebrations for the turn of the year, which took place in squares throughout the country, have passed without incident. As a result of the careless use of fireworks, a total of 16 citizens have been lightly injured up to this moment, and after receiving medical help, they left for their homes. No serious event, conflict or incident has been reported, thanks to the citizens and the measures taken by the State Police".
Currently, the Police services are patrolling the cities, highways as well as near the premises where the celebrations continue.
