The Greek police have managed to unravel an armed robbery committed in July 2023.
After investigations, the police have identified one of the three perpetrators of the armed robbery.
The event happened on July 27, 2023 when three armed masked people robbed the post office "ELTA" in Mesinia.
In the morning of that day, two masked people get out of an SUV and after breaking the glass of the post office, enter.
At the threat of "Kalashnikov" type firearms, they forced one of the employees to open the safe, taking from there about 135 thousand euros.
After that, the two perpetrators got back into the SUV, where a third armed person was waiting for them and left in an unknown direction.
After 6 months of investigations, it was possible to identify one of the perpetrators, who was declared wanted. He is Eduart Qëndrothanasi, 46 years old from Saranda, with Albanian nationality and Greek citizenship. The charges of "criminal organization", "robbery", "theft", "arms possession without a permit" have been brought against him.
