The Italian carabinieri arrested a 29-year-old Albanian in Campodarsego, who was wanted after the judicial authorities in Albania had issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder.
He is accused of shooting a woman with a firearm on November 22 in Peshkopi, seriously injuring her and then running away.
The 29-year-old tried to lose track but was discovered and handcuffed at a hotel in Campodarsego. When the Albanian entered the hotel, the police went into action.
In fact, Albanian justice had issued an international arrest warrant against him and within a few minutes a patrol appeared at the hotel. The suspect did not resist.
