A 26-year-old man was arrested in Durrës, after he was wanted by Italy as an accomplice in drug trafficking.
"State Police/Finalize the police operation coded "Operational". The operation, for the capture of a citizen announced as wanted internationally, was carried out by the services of the Directorate of the Special Operational Force. Accused by the Italian authorities, as an accomplice to trafficking of narcotics, was caught in Durrës and arrested for the purpose of extradition, the 26-year-old.
As a result of intensive tracking and locating actions for the capture of wanted citizens, which are carried out within the framework of the "Rule of Law" mega-operation, as well as as a result of the continuous exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, the services of the Directorate of the Special Operational Force finalized the police operation coded "Operational".
During the operation, in Durrës, the internationally wanted citizen KK, 26 years old, was located, captured and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy. The authorities in Italy have assigned the 26-year-old, the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in collaboration, according to the provisions of the Italian Criminal Code. The KK citizen is accused of having, in cooperation with other citizens, trafficked and sold various narcotics in Italy. Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are cooperating for the extradition of this citizen," said the police announcement.
