Two Albanian citizens on the run, wanted by Italian justice and another wanted by Albanian justice, are handcuffed in England.

Edmond Arra, 34, based on an international arrest warrant, was arrested at his flat on Jasmine Grove Street, London.

Italian justice had declared him wanted for charges of arson, criminal damage, possession of a weapon without a permit, robbery, and assault on a person.

Besnik Zekthi, 42 years old, is the name of another Albanian arrested in England as wanted by Italian justice. He is accused of being part of an organized criminal group involved in drug trafficking.

Dorjan Meshi, 36 years old, was wanted by the Interpol Tirana office. He is accused of having with him a Czech ID document number 20692030 in the name of Daniel Pelcek, which he knew was forged, on 14/02/2020 at Mother Teresa airport. As if he tried to use it and create the impression that it was a real document and then be accepted.

A few days ago, the Daily Mail newspaper devoted a long article to Albanians who are wanted in Europe or Albania and choose Great Britain as a hiding place. The article drew parallels with the Costa del Sol in Spain.

"If for many years the Costa del Sol has been used by British criminals wanted by the justice of their country, now Great Britain is being used as a hiding place by Albanians with open accounts with Albanian or European justice" says the Daily Mail.

According to the data published in this article, it is revealed that in the period January-July 2024, 30 Albanian citizens who had gone to England to hide were arrested for the purpose of extradition.
