The General Director of the State Police, Director Madhor Skënder Hita, held a meeting with the leaders of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, as well as with the heads of the police stations and sectors under its jurisdiction.
The meeting focused on strengthening measures to increase order and security, with the aim of protecting the lives and property of citizens.
During the discussions, Hita called for greater commitment and professionalism in preventing and combating criminal activities, including drug trafficking and distribution, cannabis cultivation in open and closed environments, illegal possession of weapons, economic crimes, gambling and illegal call centers, as well as environmental crimes, especially those related to the occupation of public spaces, unauthorized construction and environmental pollution.

The purpose of the meeting was to take measures to increase the parameters of order and security of life and property of citizens.
During the meeting, the Director General called for more commitment, dedication and professionalism in preventing, identifying and cracking down on crime, the sale of narcotics, cannabis cultivation both in open and closed areas, illegal possession of weapons, economic crimes, illegal gambling and call centers, trafficking, as well as environmental crimes, mainly for the clearance of public spaces, illegal construction and environmental pollution.
Order and security in general, and in particular school security, cyber and road security, were some of the other messages that the Director General gave during the meeting, requesting an increase in police presence and professional capacities, with the aim of preventing and further increasing security parameters in the capital.
Director Hita focused at length on addressing and dynamically following up on citizens' concerns and complaints, emphasizing that the law and citizens are paramount for the State Police, therefore timely response, commitment and professionalism are required.
Citizens' trust is earned through the work and correct behavior of Police employees.
"He also asked managers to be as close as possible to employees in the field, to support and motivate them in fulfilling their duties, appreciating their daily work and dedication," the announcement states.
