Korça Police have reacted after a video went viral on social media showing a blue uniformed vehicle driving in the opposite direction in the city of Pogradec.
After reviewing the footage, authorities announced that the officer driving the state vehicle was fined and his driving license was suspended.
According to the Police, for the violation committed, based on point 12 of article 7 of the Road Code, the driver of the vehicle, citizen Th. K., employee of the Korça DVP, was punished with an administrative measure of 10,000 lek, his driving license was suspended for 3 months and 6 points were deducted from his driving license.
The police announced that the action taken aims to guarantee respect for the law by all officers and to avoid similar cases in the future.
