A 39-year-old man wanted by Spanish authorities as a murder suspect was arrested in Tirana. He is Elion Vathi (Kaçi), who was arrested as part of the operation codenamed "Lacking".
"The Special Operations Force in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Sector at the Tirana Police Department, in continuation of the work to capture internationally wanted persons, based on information obtained through police channels, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Lacking", as a result of which it became possible to capture with the aim of extradition to Spain the citizen:
E. V(K)., 39 years old, resident of Kamëz.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the judicial authorities in Spain issued an international arrest warrant for the criminal offense of 'Murder' provided for by the Spanish Criminal Code.
"Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Spanish law enforcement authorities, is continuing the procedures for the extradition of this citizen," the Police announced.
