The Court of Saranda, at the request of the District Prosecutor's Office, has ordered the seizure of some assets of 43-year-old businessman Romeo Laze.
Laze was sentenced at the end of 2022 to 4.7 years in prison for the charge of "production and sale of narcotics".
Laze was arrested on August 28, 2021 as part of Operation "Çuka". During the search of Laze's apartment, Saranda police found and seized 1.2 kg of cocaine, 3 electronic scales, a significant amount of money in lek and euros, as well as 3 vehicles and 3 motorcycles.
After the property investigation, the Court of Saranda decided to partially accept the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, ordering the seizure of 2 immovable properties owned by Laze, located in cadastral zone 8641 in Saranda, the commercial entity with the object "Lavazho, trade in vehicles" in neighborhood no. 4 Saranda, as well as two vehicles owned by him, specifically with license plates AB777RN and AA118DR.
The execution of the seizures was carried out yesterday by the Saranda Police Commissariat.
