Today, the Ministry of Education has closed the private kindergarten where the parents of a 3-year-old girl suspect that their 3-year-old daughter was raped.
The announcement also states that the kindergarten is illegal and is operating without a license as a private pre-university educational institution.
This Tuesday, the Ministry of Education and Sports reacted, saying that the kindergarten in question was operating under conditions of illegality, as it was without a license.
For this reason, MAS says that it has requested the State and Municipal Police to close the kindergarten immediately.
"The Ministry of Education strongly condemns violent actions against children and demands a full clarification of the circumstances of the event, in order to take immediate and strict measures against those responsible. After the broadcast of the serious event on the show "Stop" on TV Klan, the Ministry of Education and Sports has immediately asked the State Police and the Municipal Police to take measures for the immediate closure of the "Stinët" kindergarten, as, from the verifications carried out, it results that the kindergarten is illegal and operates without a license as a private pre-university educational institution, pursuant to law no. 10 081, dated 23.2.2009, "On licenses, authorizations and permits in the Republic of Albania", as amended and law no. 69/2012, "On the pre-university education system in the Republic of Albania", amended", announced MAS.
MAS states that it has set up a Task-Force for the verification of subjects that exercise activity in services for children. The Ministry announces that no case of violence against children will be tolerated.
"The Ministry of Education and Sports, the State Police, the Municipal Police, the Inspectorates, will set up the Task Force for full control in the territory for subjects that exercise activity in preschool services for children and will take all the necessary measures to ensure that educational institutions, public or private, provide a safe and protected environment for children, in accordance with the legislation in force. Violence against children is a violation of their fundamental rights and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The Ministry of Education will be determined in the fight against violence in educational facilities to ensure that our children grow up in a safe and protected environment", announced the Ministry of Education.
