A 54-year-old man from Lezha has been declared wanted, as he is suspected of being the author of placing explosives in the vehicle of citizen Mirash Gjikola, in the area called "Kthesa e Vrinës", in the Konispol municipality.
He is accused of destruction of property with explosives, intimidation, and the unauthorized manufacture and possession of weapons and ammunition.
The incident was reported by Mirash Gjikola, 57, who notified the police after hearing a noise in the vehicle while driving on the Shëndëlli-Vrine axis. After stopping, he found a suspected amount of explosives placed in the vehicle.
Multiple police services, serious crime experts from the Vlora Police Directorate and the RENEA anti-explosive unit have intervened at the scene. During the search, a quantity of explosives was found scattered in the back seat of the Nissan vehicle, with license plates AA725LG.
