GJJKO has set the security measure "prison arrest" for the former director of the Lezha Police, Henerigert Mitri.
The Special Court has imprisoned Henerigert Mitri, the former director of the Lezhë Police in the investigation within the "Revanshi" operation.
Henerigert Mitri surrendered to the police a few days ago.
Mitri, together with his lawyer, requested to be acquainted with the file and did not give explanations in court. They announced that they will appeal the decision to the GJKKO Appeal.
Henerigert Mitri, was declared wanted after the breakdown of the SKY ECC application, where, according to SPAK, he led the criminal activity of cultivating narcotics in the Lezha region, while in cooperation with the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, he organized the illegal activity of gambling.
The Special Prosecutor's Office accuses the former senior police official of committing the criminal offenses of "cultivation of narcotic plants, carried out in cooperation", "structured criminal group" and "participation in a structured criminal group".
How did he uncover the operations of the 'Guardia di Finanza'?
As the head of the Lezha Police, Henerigert Mitri was the first to receive information from the Guardia di Finanza of aerial controls, with precisely defined coordinates, orders which were signed by him. But before doing his duty as a high-ranking official of the state police, he communicated with his subordinate, the head of Anti-Drugs, Klodian Shahini, who asked him where the plots planted with cannabis by the collaborators were and if they coincided with the coordinates where they would flew GdF, the traffickers were notified, who took the measures.
In this scheme, Mitri and Shahini were together, while their close collaborator was Elson Reçi, of the Reçë tribe of Rreşeni or even for other plots in the Mirdita area. But despite efforts to prevent anti-cannabis controls, Mitri and Shahini fail to protect their plots and people.
Mitri also turned a blind eye to a casino owned by businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, previously arrested in the context of the "Metamorfoza" file, which he had in Lezhë and which kept him outside the rules of the law. But when the economic crime officer, Gentian Ndoji, enters the casino, arrests the manager and seizes the computers, problems arise for Henerigert Mitri, who had vouched for the progress of the business.
During the 'Revanshi' operation, thanks to the investigations of SPAK and the State Police, 50 arrest warrants were signed for crime bosses inside and outside the country where 7 criminal groups were hit and some serious events of the last few years were revealed.
