A person masked and dressed in white has burned with gasoline the vehicle of 49-year-old Gjon Marashi, a public services employee in the municipality of Vau Dejës.
The incident took place at noon today, as the fire brigade arrived at the scene, making it possible to extinguish the flames, while the police started investigations.
The employee of the municipality suspects that this event is related to his work for irrigating lands with water in the villages of Vau Dejës. Marashi says that there have been no direct threats, but from time to time there have been various debates with the residents regarding irrigation.
Marashi says that he already feels scared and appeals to the state to clarify this incident as soon as possible.
Immediately after burning the car of the Marashi family, which was parked in the yard of the one-story house in the village of Pistull in Vau Dejës, the perpetrator quickly left without leaving a trace.
The police are working on the complete clarification of this event and the identification of the suspected author.
