Three people have been arrested by the police, accused of defrauding a person of 40,000 euros.
According to police, two other people are wanted.
The incident occurred at the Rinas roundabout, and police say the perpetrators communicated through an app and introduced themselves as known people.
Four of the authors are: Krenar Toromeni, Ilia Gjini, Artur Lecini and Elton Rrushi.
Meanwhile, during the search of the apartment of citizen Artur Lecini, where citizen Elton Rrushi was also found, an environment equipped with electrical equipment for the cultivation of narcotic plants was discovered.
"Citizens K. T, I. Gj, A. L, E. B and L. M, in collaboration with each other, by way of fraud by presenting themselves as his acquaintance, have taken the sum of 40,000 euros from a 55-year-old man," the police statement said.
"Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Scheme" is finalized. They took 40,000 euros from a citizen at the Rinas roundabout, deceiving him through communications on an application that they were his acquaintances, 5 citizens are identified, 3 of them are arrested, 2 others are declared wanted.
An environment (living room) adapted by one of the arrested, with electrical equipment, for the cultivation of narcotic plants is discovered.
1 citizen who was found in this area is arrested for failing to report the crime.
Dozens of Cannabis plants, equipment (lamps and fans) used for their cultivation in closed environments, quantities of Cocaine and Cannabis, 4 cell phones and 1 "Audi Q5" vehicle in which the 5 citizens left after taking the amount of euros were seized.
The Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force Sector at the Tirana Police Department, the Kavaja and Divjaka Police Commissariats, after handling a report from a 55-year-old man that he had been deceived by several citizens unknown to him, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Scheme", within which the following citizens were identified and arrested:
-KT, 36 years old, resident of Divjaka, I. Gj., 24 years old, resident of Divjaka, AL, 39 years old and E. Rr., 38 years old, resident of Kavaja. Citizens EB, 34 years old and LM, 35 years old were also declared wanted.
Citizens K. T, I. Gj, A. L, E. B and L. M, in collaboration with each other, by way of fraud by presenting themselves as his acquaintance, have taken a sum of 40,000 euros from a 55-year-old man.
Further, during the search of the apartment of citizen A. L, where citizen E. Rr was also found, an environment equipped with electrical equipment for the cultivation of narcotic plants was discovered.
As part of the operation, the Police services have found and seized dozens of Cannabis plants, equipment (lamps and fans) used for their cultivation in closed environments, quantities of Cocaine and Cannabis, 4 mobile phones and 1 Audi Q5 vehicle. Work is underway to capture the 2 wanted citizens and fully document the case," the police announced.
