Two wanted persons have been arrested, while the structures of the three Regional Police Directorates have collaborated in their arrest.
An official announcement states that the arrested are Taulant Bejko and Artmirnejdi Kasaj, both wanted. Bejko is accused of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", while Kasaj is accused of the offenses of "Fraud" and "removal of a prisoner from his place of residence".
"In cooperation with the Korça Local Police Directorate and the Shkodra Local Police Directorate, two persons wanted for the criminal offenses of "Fraud", "Abuse of duty" and "Removal of a prisoner from his place of residence" were arrested."
Continuing the work to capture wanted persons, based on information obtained operationally, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Coordination", the Crime Investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Crime Investigation specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, made it possible to capture the wanted citizen TB, 39 years old, resident of Shkodra.
The Court of Durrës, on 31.07.2025, has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
Following the operation, in cooperation with the Crime Investigation specialists of the Pogradec Police Commissariat, it was possible to capture the other wanted person, citizen AK, 31 years old, resident of Durrës, for the criminal offense "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence", after he violated the security measure "House arrest", assigned for the criminal offense "Fraud".
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durres, for further action ," the official Durres Police statement states.
