A 44-year-old woman, Zyhra Korra from Durrës, has been arrested after being accused of blackmailing a 39-year-old woman from Saranda via social media.
According to the report, the suspect initially took 5,000 euros from the victim, while continuing to threaten her to take another 50,000 euros.
The 44-year-old will be investigated for the criminal offense of "Extortion by threat or violence for the provision of property."
"He blackmailed and threatened a citizen on social media, took 5,000 euros from her and demanded another 50,000 euros, the 44-year-old woman is in custody."
Following the investigative actions, regarding the complaint of a citizen, who had declared that a sum of money had been taken from her through blackmail and threats, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Property, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, made it possible to detain the suspected perpetrator, citizen: ZH, 44 years old, resident of Durrës, for the criminal offense of "Extortion by threat or violence for the provision of property".
This citizen is suspected of having, through blackmail and threats on social media, taken the sum of 5,000 euros from a 39-year-old woman from Saranda and continued to threaten her to take another 50,000 euros.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action," the police announced.
