A serious incident was recorded this Sunday in the city of Maliq, where a large-scale fire engulfed the Azizllari family's apartment, causing two fatalities and one seriously injured.
Merjeme Azizllari and her 14-year-old son, Valter Azizllari, lost their lives in the flames, while the other son, 6 years old, is in critical condition.
The family's neighbors have given their first testimonies about the dramatic moments of the event. Xheme Kapali, one of them, told the media how, together with another neighbor, they intervened to save the little child.
" When I came out, I saw the child crying in the yard. I said to myself, how could you let the child cry? When I myself saw you. It was pitch black. I called this neighbor here. Rimi kicked the door and we pulled the boy out. That maid's fur was falling out, she can't pull herself together at all now. There was smoke, she couldn't see at all. Only the boy who was lying in the middle of the hallway, we pulled him by the leg and took him out. We took the child out, but we didn't know that the others were inside. The father was at work, we called him, he came and held his head in his hand. Then when the police came, they chased us away, they took them themselves. We didn't even find out how it happened ," she said.
Another neighbor, who knew the Azizllari family closely, said: " The children with autism, the mother was fine. The mother did not work, only the father worked in the family. They were in difficult economic conditions. I do not know how the incident happened. Now a family member told me. I came to ask how I saw the firefighter ."
