Katerina Beqo, the wife of Roan Brahim, is in a state of shock, after the mafia execution of her 32-year-old husband last night in Athens, Greek media reports.
Rohan Brahimi or Sidorel Prendi was killed in the mafia attack that shocked Athens last night, while his wife Katerina, who is in the hospital in a serious condition, was injured.
According to eyewitnesses, after the shots were fired at the car in which the couple was in, Katerina, wounded and covered in blood, got out of the car and shouted "they killed her, they killed her", while asking for help for her husband.
A few meters away was the young son of the couple (about 7-8 years old), who heard the shots and ran towards the black SUV where his mom and dad were.
The information indicates that 32-year-old Roan Brahimi did not live in Greece. Roan Brahimi had come to Greece a few days ago to spend the Easter holiday with his family, who lived in a rented house near the place of the murder.
According to the Greek media, Brahim's executioner is thought to have been a professional, that is, a hired killer.
"It is very possible that he came to Greece only to carry out the assassination," an experienced Security officer told the Greek media Newsbeast.
Brahimi and the injured woman were in a black SUV, Mercedes Benz A Class, and were waiting on the street as their child was playing in the park across the street.
Suddenly a motorcycle came at high speed and the driver stopped in the middle of the road, took out a gun and started shooting.
The 32-year-old man died instantly, while the 37-year-old passenger was slightly injured. The child at that moment was playing in the park and saw the incident. The child ran to the scene and shouted "help, my father".
The police are investigating the incident, but according to their estimates, it seems to be a case of money laundering. Roan Brahimi is known in Albania as the enemy of Ervis Martinaj, about whom there is no information since August 9, 2022, since he disappeared without a trace, one of the tracks of the investigation is that of murder.
The criminal track that the police is investigating is that of the settlement of accounts between criminal groups.
But who is Roan Brahimi?
The Zejmen event in Lezhë Brahimi has been declared wanted by the Albanian police since 2021, accused of the terror they caused in a bar in Zejmen in Lezhë where they entered armed with Kalashnikovs looking for the owner, an event that happened in 2021.
As authors of the same event, the nephew of the Socialist Party deputy Rrahman Rraja, Ramazan Rraja and Alesio Dobrozi have also been announced as wanted.
The conflict with Ervis Martinaj
Roan Brahimi alias Sidorel Prendi was declared wanted on July 17, 20222 as he is suspected of the execution of Brilant Martinaj (cousin of Ervis Martinaj) and his friends.
At that time Roan Brahimi was not found in the apartment neither in the first assassination attempt on Martinaj nor in that of Ylli Brahjas. During the search of the apartment, the police found only his father, Gjovalin Prendi, who said that he had no idea where his son was, at least for a year. Meanwhile, according to him, they were around Krušće with Ylli Brahjan, as his son's daughter-in-law was close to him.
