It is learned that Nikoll Sherrniku, a well-known person in the world of crime, was involved. In 2020, he was handed over to the police, accused of being involved in the murder of FNSH officer, Xulio Prela.
Xjulio Prela was executed in the early hours of the morning on December 5 with a bullet in the chest as he was returning from Shkodra to Tirana. The 26-year-old left Tirana for Rinas airport at 01:00 at night to pick up a friend of his and send him to Kosmaç village in Shkodër.
After sending his friend to Shkodër, on the way back, the police officer saw a vehicle, and a person who got out of the car was shining lights on him with a flashlight. The investigators suspect that the police officer Prela thought that the person who hit him with lights asked for help, so Prela turned back.
He turned the car in the right direction from Tirana to Lezhë, and approached the person who flashed his lights. He lowered the glass and saw an individual, who according to the police, it is very likely that he knew him. The police officer tried to leave quickly, meanwhile he was faced with gun shots, a TT type pistol that the aggressor had. The police suspect that Brilant Martinaj, who was killed in Fushë Krujë, was also involved. Sherrnik and Martinaj were friends with each other. Sherrnik is also known as part of Ervis Msrtinaj's clan.
It should be noted that Fatjon Murataj was detained by the police and interrogated, as there are suspicions that he knows or is involved in the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj. Apparently, that's why the barrage of bullets came. However, it is not yet understood how Sherrnik played a role, since he was in the cell.
