
Kruja police have arrested a 55-year-old wanted man, as part of Operation "Mountain".
The suspect is 54-year-old Imer Kameri, who was captured in the Bruz Zalli area. He was arrested yesterday in the Krujë Highlands area, having been wanted for more than a year.
Kameri had been wanted since January 2024 for the criminal offenses of "intentional murder" and "unlicensed possession of a weapon".
According to the Police, he is suspected of attempting to kill citizen Agron Asllanaj, who was seriously injured as a result of the incident.
The 54-year-old is also subject to another security measure, imposed in August 2024 by the Tirana Court, for "cultivation of narcotic plants".
Verifications show that he is no stranger to justice, as in 2012 he was tried for "unlicensed possession of weapons" and "threatening".
The police are continuing procedural actions, while the arrested person is expected to face justice for all charges against him.

As a result of the administration of information obtained through operational-legal channels, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Mountain", for the capture of wanted citizens, the services of the Krujë Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person, located, captured and handcuffed citizen IK, 55 years old, resident of Krujë.
For this citizen, the Tirana Court has set the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Intentional murder", attempted, committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
In January 2024, in the village of Bruzë-Zall, during a conflict for weak motives, a 55-year-old man shot a citizen AA with a firearm.
Also, the security measure "Arrest in prison" has been imposed on this citizen by the Tirana Court for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
