A young Albanian has fallen into the hands of the German police, after he was wanted by the Italian authorities.
The 29-year-old Albanian arrived at Fiumicino airport from Germany, after he was released by the Court of Appeal of Rome.
The investigation began in February 2022, when a local "Ndrangheta" was assembled in the municipalities of Anzio and Nettuno, dedicated not only to drug trafficking but also to conditioning local political life and controlling economic activities and awarding local contracts.
In the "Tritone" investigation it was documented how one of the members of the 'Ndrangheta, having the ability to import large shipments of narcotics from South America, in order to obtain further income, had expanded his activities of selling drugs from the municipalities of Anzios and Anzios and Nettuno in the municipalities of Rocca di Papa and Grottaferrata, combining his business with those of the clan.
That morning, the 29-year-old Albanian was located by the carabinieri in Albania, for whom a European arrest warrant was issued and the International Police Cooperation Service was activated. The young man was caught on board a scheduled flight coming from Tirana and headed to Karlsruhe/Baden-Bade airport, where the German police stopped him.
