A 36-year-old man was arrested in Lezhë, after he allegedly set fire to a furniture store in Gjorma i Kurbini.
According to the police, the incident happened on December 31, 2024 in the village of Gjormë, as there are suspicions that Rogest Mera set it on fire for weak motives.
The fire caused significant material damage to the joinery. During the search, pieces of burnt clothing that the author is suspected to have worn during the incident, as well as his mobile phone, were seized.
"He set fire to a carpentry shop in the village of Gjormë, for weak motives, the 36-year-old man was identified and arrested. Parts of burnt clothing, which the author is suspected to have been wearing during the incident, and his mobile phone were seized. As a result of the investigative actions of carried out by the Kurbin Police Station, for the burning of furniture owned by the citizen A. Sh., 52 years old, in the village of Gjormë, on 31.12.2024, the suspected arsonist, the citizen: was identified, caught and put in handcuffs.
RM, 36 years old, resident of Gjormë village, previously convicted for domestic violence. The fire caused significant material damage to the joinery. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire", informs the police.
