After much searching, the family of 22-year-old Elkrist Kola from Fushë-Arrëz, who has been missing for two weeks, appears to have given up and is asking for police help to find him.
With tears in his eyes, Denis Kola told Report TV: "My brother left the apartment on September 13th at around 8:00 PM."
Before leaving, he had told his father that a man would come to pick him up.
"My father asked who that man was, he said I don't know him!"
Meanwhile, the media have published security camera footage, showing the young man leaving the building.
This is the moment when the Kola family lost contact with the 22-year-old who, since his mother's death, had shown mental health problems, but who was neither aggressive nor did he run away to avoid returning to the apartment.
The brother says that Denis had taken his father's phone when he left, but even though the phone rang during the first 24 hours after the loss, it never came back on until it turned off.
"I think from what he told his father, I think someone may have taken him. I don't know if it can be considered kidnapping, but they could have taken him to exploit him or to remove his organs. I think there could have been an accident," adds his brother.
Denis Kola hopes for greater engagement from state institutions, at least for telephone records, to determine whether his brother has communicated with anyone after leaving and why his cell phone number cannot be found.
"At least they should release the phone records, so we can know if he has communicated with anyone," he said.
Apparently tired of this situation, Denis Kola, who now only has his father left, hopes that his brother is still alive.
"I hope he is alive, but even if he is not alive, let us also know about his fate, let us not dwell on the fact of what happened," says Denis Kola.
The Puka Police announced that they have continued the search throughout the territory, have cooperated with other police stations, and the investigation is now continuing in an operational manner to find Elkrist Kola.
