The Police Supervision Agency (AMP) has arrested the customs officer of Kakavija, the physical control customs officer and declared another customs employee wanted as they are accused of corruption and abuse of office.
It is suspected that customs officials and police officers were involved in corrupt schemes related to irregular customs clearance procedures benefiting sums of money.
During the operation started from Saturday morning until the early hours of Sunday by AMP, 1 trailer, 4 heavy tonnage trucks and other vehicles filled with goods were found that crossed the border point without checks as well as avoiding customs clearance fees.
In the meantime, investigations continue to find out if there are other officials involved in this corruption scheme.
