"I spent 10,000 euros on parties", revealed the wiretaps that sank the

Rocca di Papa, a commune on the outskirts of Rome has turned into a drug stronghold for a gang of Calabrese-Albanians.

"Uncle" Pëllumb Pacrami, the nephew of Briken Ndreka who loved and wants to follow in his footsteps, Gianfranco Agus known as "the old man", a woman who called herself "Rosy Abate", the brother of "Biondo", a man from the Bellocco gang and seven other people were able to do business with South American drug traffickers and 'Ndrangheta exponents.

Thanks to money received from the retail sale of drugs supplied by the 'Ndrangheta and other contacts in South America, the group became large. A system that had allowed "uncle" Pellumbi's gang to get rich, while his nephew Briken Ndreka praised him over the phone.

Criminal group

12 people were involved in the Pilot investigation, as mentioned in the indictment. At the head of the organization, in fact, was Pigeon Pacrami, a long-time criminal already rooted, along with his nephew, in Rocca di Papa. Briken Ndreka himself, eavesdropped, explains how he is safe and has guaranteed the import of drugs produced in Albania: "old man" Agusi has been working for thirty years and they do not unload more than 3-4 packages (one kilogram of cocaine, because they did not trust him). "Uncle Pëllumbi, instead of 20-30 packages, had a secure base".

As underlined by the forces of the group of Albanians from Elbasan, capable of importing 300 kilograms from Colombia: "They are very strong". The cocaine was then retailed in Rome, ready to be resold by various distributors.

Money for parties, restaurants and fake marriages

A well structured group that knew how to enjoy life. Briken Ndreka, in order not to face an deportation order, to make luxury purchases and spend the money in Italy, had found a way to get a residence permit thanks to a fake marriage: "Ten thousand euros cost me everything, he says in a conversation. I gave him five thousand for the marriage and the documents. It took a year. But now I'm getting a divorce."

Thus, the money from the drug trafficking activities was reinvested not only in the purchase of other loads of cocaine and the financial support of the arrested associates, but also in the purchase of premises, the organization of parties and the luxury of cars, if not all they had a driver's license.

There is also Ndreka who says that he lost 25 thousand euros in the investment of a restaurant in the center of Rome. And then the parties: "I made a lot of mistakes, my uncle always told us," he told a relative in Albania during an intercepted video call. We had 10,000 euro parties and we didn't send you any money there, mostly a thousand euro, no more. I've spent a lot, but I'm young."

But the group knew what they were doing, as Briken Ndreka himself confirms: "Uncle Pëllumbi is in good condition, he has two houses. They always tell their relatives, this job is different from yours, today you are there, tomorrow they will put you in if we don't have fun now that we are out, when we have to, he has served 10 years in prison, it is normal that he now enjoys life" .

inquiry

The carabinieri arrived at their organization breaking down the wiretaps, connections and investigative findings that emerged. That investigation revealed the traffic of tons of cocaine from South America, linked between Anzio and Nettuno. That association from Reggio Calabria to the Roman coast had worked for years to penetrate the social, economic and political fabric. At the head of the organization was Giacomo Madaffari, the €5 million man, who could boast of significant support from members of the historic 'Ndrangheta families of Guardavalle origin, namely the Gallaces, Pertinaces, Belloccos and Tedescos.

The pilot and the bonds

Drugs arrived from South America and Calabria with Calabro-Albanian narcotics, who studied the routes to cover with a tourist plane driven by an available pilot. Listening to a conversation from July 2019 between Vincenzo Italiano, believed by investigators to be an associate of Bruno Gallace and Federico Usai, both investigated in the Tritone operation, investigators discover contacts with another Calabrian, known as "Il biondo", a the young man associated with the Bellocco gang, often in Frascati and a guest at his brother's Casal Palocco, for whom the obligation to sign on November 8 was ordered yesterday.

“Look, I've got an Air Force pilot who's been where there's war. Not in Gaza, in Venezuela. He has his hangar", said the Italian.

A pilot that actually inspired the name of the investigation "Pilot". The fact is that thanks to that interception present in the order of Operation "Tritone", the carabinieri discovered how the drug business had spread in Castelli thanks to the hook of "Biondo", who was a friend of Briken Ndreka.
