Three people have been arrested by the police, after selling cocaine and cannabis in Gjirokastra and Saranda, in collaboration with each other.
One of the arrested persons had doses of narcotics, shotguns, military ammunition, two-way radios and smuggled goods in his apartment.
The other 2 arrested were caught red-handed with doses of narcotics and with sums of money in different currencies, earned from the sale of the doses.
"Cannabis doses, about 50 grams of Cocaine, 1 shotgun, 1 transceiver, a quantity of ammunition, 250 packs of cigarettes (without fiscal stamp), sums of money in different currencies, 4 cell phones and 2 vehicles were seized.
As a result of an investigation with proactive methods, carried out for several weeks, under the direction of the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office, following information provided by police intelligence, about the involvement of some citizens in the criminal activity of selling narcotics, in doses, the Investigation Section of Narcotics, in cooperation with the Operational Sector of DVP Gjirokastër and with the Special Operational Force of the DPPS, finalized the coded police operation "Andromeda".
During the operation, citizens MS, 45 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, KK, 45 years old, resident of Ksamil and K. Xh., 41 years old, resident of Saranda, were arrested in the act.
The investigation showed that these 3 citizens, organized as a group, sold doses of narcotics Cocaine and Cannabis, in Gjirokastër and in Saranda. The narcotics were mainly provided by the citizen of MS, whose quantity was found, divided into doses, shotguns, combat ammunition and 1 radio receiver-transmitter, possessed without permission, as well as 250 packs of cigarettes. suspected of being smuggled, as they were not equipped with the fiscal stamp. Meanwhile, the other 2 arrested were caught red-handed with doses of Cocaine and Cannabis, as well as with sums of money, in lek, euro and pounds, suspected to have benefited from the sale of the doses.
Following the procedural actions in the framework of this operation, the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen VK, 31 years old, resident in Gjirokastër, after a small amount of Cannabis Sativa narcotic substance was found on him during the physical check.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions" , the police informs.
