A 24-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police, accused of drug trafficking and distribution in the Pievesestina area.
At around 12:30 on Sunday, the young man was stopped for a check at the toll booth in Cesena Nord, while driving a gray, rented Volkswagen Golf and attempting to enter the highway from the E45. His nervousness led officers to conduct a more in-depth check of the vehicle.
During the search, over 100 grams of cocaine were found, hidden inside the dashboard of the car, which required its dismantling to access the drugs. The drugs, the vehicle and the mobile phone used by the suspect were seized and are at the disposal of the Forlì Prosecutor's Office for further investigations.
The value of the drugs, once distributed at retail, reaches over 10,000 euros.
The court deemed the arrest legal and left the young Albanian in prison awaiting trial.
