The Albanian appeared before the Darmstadt Regional Court in Germany on Thursday. Charge: Murder for weak motives.
It was about a power struggle in the drug scene.
According to the indictment, the 41-year-old ambushed his victim in front of a cafe and shot him. The execution took place on the open road. In broad daylight, in the middle of Germany.
According to the indictment, the crime of April 22, 2024, involved a power struggle in the local drug scene, cocaine, jealousy, two beautiful women – and an earplug.
The prosecutor then reads out the motive for the crime: the trafficker Arben G. (45 years old), nicknamed Beni, had cut off her earlobe to humiliate her. Prosecutor Elena Beyer said: "The defendant thought this was a considerable degradation of his person."

Background: In their homeland, Albania, disobedient dogs are punished in this way. Elena Beyer continued: "He felt that his honor had been violated. The victim had to die to restore his honor and status."
Surveillance cameras show "Ben" leaving the bar at 8:52 a.m., followed by a masked man wearing rubber gloves, a Lidl bag and a gun. He then shoots. A bar's camera shows the victim walking a few meters and falling.
“Yes, I was the one who shot,” Kelmend M. confessed in court. He fired five or six times, but it is suspected that he did not want to kill his fellow countryman. He had probably hidden the gun in his bag beforehand and used it to insert the empty shells.

After the murder, the perpetrator returned to his apartment, threw away his gloves and then allegedly threw the gun into the river. He fled Germany.
The killer was arrested a few weeks later in Sweden. He now faces life in prison. The trial continues. / Bild
