Two people have fallen into the handcuffs of the Tirana police as part of an operation coded "Medicine". The arrested are Ermir Haxhiaj, 46 years old and Qazim Haka, 35 years old, both residents of Tirana, involved in drug smuggling.
It is known that the value of the smuggled medicines was about 17 thousand euros. They smuggled the medicines from Greece and Turkey.
"The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, finalized the police operation "Medicine". The structures of the investigation of economic and financial crime and Special Operations in DVP Tirana, following the work for the prevention, identification and attack of criminal activity in the field of smuggling of various goods, arrested the citizens EH, 46 years old, and QH, 35 years old, both residents of Tirana.
During the control exercised in the pharmacy of the citizen EH, and during the control exercised in a warehouse of the citizen QH, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, significant quantities of medical medications, without a fiscal stamp from the National Agency of Medicines and Devices Medical and dental equipment, worth about 17,000 euros. The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office," the police announced.
