Nine residents of the village of Bodrishte and an itinerant shepherd have been escorted by the police of Gjirokastra, in the capacity of persons who may have knowledge of the crime against two elderly people, Kosta and Kleoniqi Ilia, their spouses.
As of yesterday afternoon, the investigation into the crime has moved away from the track of the crime in the family and also the version of the violent robbery and has raised a new track, that of the murder of the elderly couple by a third person with whom they may have had any conflict.
So far, those accompanied are residents who lived near the couple's apartment, people with whom they may have had arguments about the boundaries of the property, as well as the shepherd who is not a resident of the village, but who is thought to have been on the road in front of the apartment at the time of the crime and that he is suspected of knowing about it, reports " Gazeta Shqip ".
The police also found an iron lever in the back of the apartment, an object that was taken into consideration as evidence since it is suspected that the elderly were hit by the same object, the man in the side of the head and the woman in the back. According to experts, the blows were fatal because they were caused by a strong tool.
The investigators are waiting for the DNA analysis to shed more light on the event and the identification of the author of this crime.
Kosta and Kleoniqi, 84 and 88 years old, were escorted to the village cemetery at 11 o'clock by the whole village, while the municipality of Dropulli undertook to cover the expenses. Relatives of the Ilia couple confessed that they had no biological children but had an adopted daughter whom they had not met for 10 years. Today she was among the participants in the burial of the elderly.
