Selami Bodi killed his wife Etleva Bodi in October 2023. The serious event took place in Savona, Italy, while the couple were parents of four minor children.
Italian media reports that prosecutor Giovanni Battista Ferro has asked for life imprisonment for Bodi.
"The board must be declared responsible for all the facts registered against it", said prosecutor Ferro.
During the investigations, the police discovered the conversations of the couple thanks to the analysis of the mobile phones and it was proved that the victim had been a victim of violence in the past.
"Etleva had sent a message to Bodi on October 3-4, 2023, 3 links to three YouTube videos in the Albanian language with prayers and monologues that focused on "how to be a good man in the Muslim religion, to respect women and not mean" and about "how to treat your wife well".
The Public Prosecutor has focused on several messages, in which Etleva said "I will tell what I suffered, because you beat me constantly"; "You sent me to the hospital and I continued to endure"; "I'd rather die."
According to what appeared in the testimony during the trial phase, he had kept Etleva away from her family and with Islamic radicalization he did not allow her practically anything in terms of the way she dressed (for two years she was not able to use a mobile phone her).
After the conclusions of the prosecutor Ferro, the defense lawyers of Selami Bodi intervened, who asked for extenuating circumstances.
