Details of the execution of the former Miss Ecuador, Landy Párraga Goyburo, are revealed.
She was shot by two people while talking to a man inside a restaurant in Quevedo on Sunday. At one point she spots the aggressors and tries to duck, but one of the gunmen runs towards her and fires a gun, also hitting the man she was talking to.
But according to the New York Post, Párraga, who has more than a million followers on her social media accounts as well as her sportswear line, made headlines last December when her name was mentioned in a conversation between murdered drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his accountant, Helive Angulo.
During Angulo's trial, prosecutors revealed that Norero had pleaded with Angulo in a text message to help keep his affair with the beauty queen a secret. So she was connected to the cocaine boss and the assassination is suspected for this very thing.
“My friend, her name can't come out anywhere. Otherwise, my world will collapse", he wrote in messages. Norero was known as one of the biggest traffickers in the country and carried the nickname "El Patron".
But Leandro Norero is a name mentioned in our country, as it is suspected that he is the person who ordered the murder of Ergys Dashi. He was executed in prison in 2022, where he was beheaded after a riot among the convicts inside the cells.
Leandro Antonio Norero Tigua, alias El Patron, was arrested for a money laundering case. 'El Patron' was arrested for running an organization linked to money laundering, funded organized crime groups. In the operation, gold bars, over 6 million dollars, weapons and jewelry were seized.
Norero's beginnings in criminal activity date back to 2005. In his youth he was part of Los Ñetas and was ranked as one of the "invisible drug traffickers" operating in the country. Over the following years, Norero reportedly received the support of corrupt politicians, which allowed him to organize drug trafficking networks from the ports of Guayaquil and Machala.

Guayaquil is one of the cities, where the Albanians, cocaine traffickers, who have taken it upon themselves to enter "first hand" in the transport of drugs to the ports of Europe, turns into a battleground between the international cocaine lords. One of the most sensational murders that stirred quite a bit of water in the cocaine gateway city was the execution of Ergys Dashi, a young man from Durrës, who was killed in a very mafia manner.
According to the data that followed the execution of the Albanian on January 23, it was said that suspicions also fell on what was considered infidelity and that two days ago he was attacked in prison, being brutally killed. In fact, the local investigation was stunned by the way the killers approached the Albanian, who turned out to be an important person in the cocaine traffic. Since most of the murders that occurred in the last two years in the port area were massacres, the execution of the Albanian caused the event to be investigated to find out who was hiding behind that perfect camouflage mechanism. The Albanian assassins went to the restaurant where their target was having dinner but encountered resistance from the bar's security guards.
They were two people, the guards later told the prosecution. One was carrying a large bouquet of flowers and after the guards insisted that they could not enter because they did not have proof of vaccination, the flower bearer then begged! "Someone in there has a birthday! Please just send this bouquet and I'll be right out!" And actually it happened. The perpetrator went to the Albanian's table and shot him with a volley and then entered among the crowd of people having dinner and left unnoticed by the guards. The latter said in their testimony that the language they spoke made it clear that they were not Ecuadorian, but perhaps Colombian. Dashi was later found to be a major exponent of traffic at the port, where tons of cocaine are shipped to the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.
