The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has again sent a letter of order to Slovenia to obtain information regarding the owners of a vehicle that was used to observe Brilant Martinaj and his two friends Dikler Vata and Besmir Hoxha, before they were executed at the Fushë Kruja overpass on the 17 July 2022.
After receiving the answer to the previous letter sent to this country, but also to another one in Kosovo, it was deemed necessary to request additional data in Slovenia, which are related precisely to the Volkswagen Polo type vehicle, which it was fixed by the security cameras and the people inside this vehicle who allegedly helped the group of killers with information about the movements of the targets.
The vehicle was later found burnt and some clues were found linking it to Slovenia. In Kosovo, for the same vehicle, an attempt was made to obtain the testimony of a person who temporarily owned it, but he did not cooperate with the authorities. The identification of the owners and how the car entered Albania can open a good track for the investigators to track down the suspected perpetrators of the massacre.
Brilant Martinaj was shot dead together with two friends at the overpass of Fuša Kruja. After the massacre, his cousin Ervis Martinaj, known as the gambling king, disappeared without a trace. Both events, as well as other assassinations where the victims were Ervis Martinajn's men, are without perpetrators. The motive of the events is the settlement of scores between criminal groups that clashed over gambling./In Shënjestre.
