A 17-year-old Albanian is suspected of murdering Salvatore Postiglione, a 56-year-old mason who was stabbed thirteen times in a car park in the industrial area of Foligno.
The crime happened around 6 and 6.30 am on Thursday, in a parking lot not far from his house.
Investigators managed to discover the 17-year-old after examining the cameras, which also made possible the reconstruction of the crime scene. Referring to the footage, the police discovered that the young man attacked Postiglione after his arrival in the car park where the 17-year-old was apparently waiting, holding a knife in his hand.
During the search of the apartment, where the 17-year-old lived with his mother and younger sister, the clothes worn at the time of the murder were found, which were clearly identifiable on the camera. Traces of the victim's blood were also found.
The police also confiscated the scooter that the 17-year-old used to leave the crime scene.
The young man worked for several months between summer and autumn at the company where Postiglione was a master builder, but then resigned without giving any explanation. None of the colleagues would have then reported any disagreement or problem between the two.
The 17-year-old still has not given his testimony regarding the motive of the crime. Perhaps he himself will clarify what drove him to such a serious crime, while he will be questioned by the investigators of the juvenile section.
