Kurbini police destroyed 615 narcotic cannabis plants in the territory of Gerrnac and Milot villages. The Blues inform that five people living in the villages of Gerrnac and Vinjolle, suspected perpetrators of cannabis cultivation, have been declared wanted.
It is noted that the mayor of the village of Gerrnac and the forest inspector of this area have been criminally prosecuted for abuse of office.

The 16th phase of this mega-operation is finalized, as a result of drone controls and police forces on the ground.
615 cannabis sativa narcotic plants, cultivated in various mountainous areas, in the territory of the village of Gerrnac, Milot, are destroyed by burning.
5 citizens, suspected perpetrators of the cultivation of these plants, are identified and declared wanted.
Also, the mayor of Gerrnac village and the forest inspector of this area are being prosecuted for abuse of office.
In implementation of the nationwide operational plan, drawn up by the General Directorate of the State Police, for the intensification of controls, in order to prevent and attack the cultivation of narcotic plants, the services of the Kurbin Police Station have organized and finalized the 16th phase of anti-cannabis police mega-operation at the county level, coded "Imazhi".
During this phase, as a result of checks from the ground and with drones, in deep mountainous areas of the village of Gerrnac, Milot, the Police services found 615 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants cultivated, which, after carrying out procedural actions, were destroyed through combustion.
For these cases of cultivation, the following citizens were identified and declared wanted: IA, 35 years old, SA, 25 years old, KS, 26 years old, KS, 22 years old and LH, 48 years old, residents of Gerrnac and Vinjolle villages, Milot administrative unit, suspected perpetrators of the cultivation of these narcotic plants. The work to capture these citizens continues.
Also, following the procedural actions for these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the citizens IB, 51 years old (as mayor of Gerrnac village) and M. Gj., 37 years old (as inspector of forests of the area where the narcotic plants were found).
During the previous 15 stages of this mega-operation, in various villages of the district, a total of 18,366 cannabis sativa seedlings and narcotic plants were destroyed by burning, 3 citizens were arrested and 1 other suspected perpetrators were wanted. of the cultivation of these narcotic plants and seedlings. Also, 1 village headman was prosecuted for abuse of office.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions", the police informs.
