The full names and some of the photos of 69 Albanians suspected of being members of 6 criminal groups, involved in dozens of events in Greece, have been revealed.
A total of 50 people have been arrested by the Greek police and 187 others have been identified. Of the latter, 6 are imprisoned while 1 person is extradited outside Greece. The persons identified as members of these groups are accused of 480 thefts in public transport and in tourist places, 120 thefts in cars, sale of 16.5 kg of marijuana, 1.5 kg of cocaine and other quantities, as well as the circulation of more than 1500 currency cards. false.
During the investigations, it was discovered that part of these groups is also the author of the wounding of three young people from Crete on December 16 in Gazi, Athens, while it was also discovered the murder of an Afghan in Athens on March 8.
During the operation, 73 thousand 725 euros, 697 dollars, over 16 kg of marijuana, about 159 grams of cocaine, about 18 grams of heroin, other drugs, 3 firearms and 3 carbines, 14 cold weapons, 3 bulletproof vests, 8 vehicles and 8 motorcycles as well as a lot of ammunition, stolen items, fake money and other materials.

From the investigations carried out, it was discovered that the arrested Anxhelo Cenkaj, 18 years old, in cooperation with the wanted Akil Topi, 36 years old from Elbasan, in cooperation with other persons participated in the murder of a 35-year-old Afghan citizen, an event that took place in March 8, 2024 in Athens. The cause of the murder is thought to be the drug trade. According to the Greek police, the citizen Nektarios Karakalios, 25 years old, a high-risk person, arrested several times for serious criminal offenses, is being investigated for this incident. Karakalios is connected to the Albanian criminal group "LIONS" and was previously arrested for the murder of the citizen Pëllumb Islami, 40 years old from Delvina, an event that took place in Greece, but was later released.
