The Anti-Mafia and the Police of Trento in Italy have dismantled an Italian-Albanian drug trafficking and distribution gang, putting at least 33 suspects behind bars.
The operation was finalized on October 9, as the media also published the results of the action carried out by the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism District Directorate in the Court of Trento.
It is learned that the court has approved 14 measures of "prison arrest" and 8 house arrests, and 11 other obligations to appear. All accused of production and sale of narcotics, mainly cocaine.
It is suspected that the drug trafficking network is organized, as it had a turnover of thousands of euros per week.
The investigations launched in June 2022 were carried out mainly by the Riva del Garda police station and coordinated by the Prosecutor's Offices of Trento and Rovereto, identifying the organization consisting of two cells.
"The first operated in Rovereto and Riva del Garda, directed by an Italian, for cocaine and hashish, while the second mainly in Riva del Garda, headed by 3 people of Albanian origin, dedicated to the trafficking of narcotics, mainly of the cocaine type", writes "Lavocedeltrentino".
The organization bought large quantities of drugs for distribution, hashish and cocaine. The authorities confirmed that during the investigative actions, 9 people were arrested in the act, approximately 700 grams of cocaine, 4 kg of hash and 100 grams of marijuana were seized.
Furthermore, the execution of the seizure of an apartment in Riva del Garda, worth about 200,000 euros, proceeds of criminal activity, was carried out. 150 police forces and anti-drug dogs participated in the action.
