Details of how the two Albanians Lefter Toçi and Romeo Qosja escaped from prison in Greece are revealed.
They had received a 5-day leave for good behavior. They used the leave and after 4 days they returned to the cell. It seems outside the prison they had well planned the escape. Their disappearance was noticed at 21:00 on Thursday night, prompting the immediate mobilization of the police.
Checks on their room were limited to a few times a day, which probably contributed to the success of the escape.
The Greek authorities mobilized immediately to find the fugitives, as they are considered extremely dangerous due to their criminal past. Special police forces and detection teams are involved in the investigation.
Their sentences include multi-year sentences as well as life sentences, but despite this, they were housed in Rural Prisons, where security is quite lax.
