Following the action carried out by special forces on the orders of the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), State Police employee Rezart Kuçi has been arrested.
The arrest warrant was executed by the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), while the officer faces serious charges such as abuse of office, involvement in illegal trafficking, and participation in a structured criminal group.
According to the SPAK file, the high-ranking officer in the State Police was part of Inez Hajrulla's criminal group.
Rezart Kuçi currently holds the position of section chief/expert in the Scientific Police Section at the Kukes Local Police Directorate.
Through a statement to the media, SPAK announced that Kuçi is suspected of having used his position to aid criminal activity, by:
-provide logistics for the transportation of narcotics;
-extract confidential information on police checks;
-interfered with mobile devices by deleting data of interest to the investigation;
-illegally used the TIMS system for the interests of persons involved in criminal activity;
-use encrypted communication in the SKYECC application.
