The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has issued a total of 8 arrest warrants as part of the operation against the criminal group linked to Inez Hajrulla.
It is reported that among the arrested persons is Hams Demushi , a former police officer who previously served in Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Rezart Kuçi , head of a sector in the Tirana Police and former head of Crime in Vlora, has also been arrested . He is accused of drug trafficking, participation in a structured criminal group and abuse of office.
The SPAK operation is part of a broader investigation into a criminal group suspected of operating in Vlora and linked to several serious criminal events.
The arrest warrants were executed by the Police Supervision Agency (AMP). Kuçi faces serious charges, including abuse of office, involvement in drug trafficking and participation in a structured criminal group.
Currently, Rezart Kuçi serves as the head of the section/expert in the Scientific Police Section at the Kukes Local Police Directorate.
He previously held several leadership positions in the State Police. Kuçi served as Deputy Chief of Police and Chief of Crime Investigation at Police Station No. 1 in Tirana, while previously he also held the position of Deputy Chief of Police and Chief of Crime Investigation at the Vlora Local Police Directorate.
