SPAK has imposed the measure of "prison arrest" on several other people suspected of having links to drug trafficking. Among them are Flodian Plaku, known as Pole Qorri, Hamëz Demushi, a former police officer, Argest Xheza, Arben Memishaj, Mendu Duka and Rezart Kuçi.
New details have been revealed from the operation conducted by SPAK this Saturday in the city of Vlora, where the criminal group of Inez Hajrulla was hit. The investigation has led to the unraveling of the murder of Gentian Qarri, which occurred five years ago.
SPAK has issued eight arrest warrants against individuals suspected of being part of this group. Among them are Inez Hajrulla and Ervis Matodashaj , who face charges for the murder of Gentian Qarri.
The investigation has also identified their suspected involvement in another serious criminal event in Vlora. According to data collected by the prosecution, Hajrulla and Matodashaj played a role in creating the conditions for the assassination of entrepreneur Bledar Bircaj, who was killed on May 10, 2021.
Authorities obtained evidence after analyzing communications on the encrypted Sky ECC app. This data helped document the suspected activity of the group's members.
Investigators are continuing verifications to identify other people who may have participated in the planning and execution of the assassination.
As part of the operation, SPAK has imposed the measure of "arrest with imprisonment" on several other people suspected of having links to drug trafficking. Mendu Duka is known as a businessman in the construction field.
The prosecution continues its investigations into the full activity of the group and other possible criminal events.
