A wanted policeman who had been on the run for four years was arrested this Sunday.
He is Spartak Çela, about 39 years old, who in 2020 shot with a Kalashnikov at several people in a bar in Velçan i Mokërs.
Çela appeared on the scene again on April 26, 2024, when he threatened the employees of the economic aid task force in Mokre and managed to wipe them out again.
"This afternoon, after some information received on the operative route, the police had learned that he had returned to his apartment in the village of Velçan. After organizing the action led by Commissioner Elton Halili himself, the police officers surrounded the apartment and made managed to arrest the 39-year-old," the police announcement states.
According to the information received from the police, he is being transported to the detention cell in Drenova.
We remember that for 4 years in a row since the first incident when he shot 5 people in the village bar, he was able to hide very well from the police, in the Mokra highlands.
