The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana will demand a prison sentence for Altin Çoku, addressing the charge of "Causing suicide".
According to the file, Çoku, who was arrested a few days ago, after the suicide of 27-year-old Isabela Abedini, was convicted by the former Court of Serious Crimes in 2015, after threatening the life of his psychiatrist GS in 2014.
The file states that "In June 2014, the defendant Altin Çoku went to his office and asked for money to treat his daughter and give it to the lawyer for a case he had. Several times Altini has asked GS citizens for money through phone messages. In his statements, the complainant does not complain that Altin Çoku has continuously given money in different amounts, in a total value of 4 thousand euros, forced due to threats from time to time. "That on 27.03.2015, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes, Tirana, submitted for trial the criminal case against the defendant Altin Çoku, accusing him of committing the criminal offense of "Coercion through threats or violence for the giving of property", an offense provided for by Article 109, letter "b"/1 of the Criminal Code. The request for the trial of criminal proceedings no. 345, year 2014, against the defendant Altin Çoku, was registered on 27.03.2015, in the Court for Serious Crimes in Tirana and on 02.04.2015, it was received by the judge appointed by lot. Pursuant to Article 333 of the Penal Code, the court session was scheduled on 24.04.2015, providing the parties with the necessary deadline provided for in Article 333/2 of the Penal Code .
The defendant Altin Çoku, according to the file, has asked the injured GS several times before, verbally but also by telephone, telephone messages, and also by means of written letters.
"I'm here, send me an SMS or I'll come over and pick you up, or you haven't found me, I'll see if you talk to someone other than me or you'll be alive later", wrote Choku to the doctor.
While in a handwritten letter, Altin Çoku threatened the doctor again with the words "Gëzim, I'm in trouble and help me, if you want I'll take your lesson; and if you don't want to bleed, I'll be there for 5 minutes and I'll be happy, help me, please, until tomorrow, now I'll find a place to take a shower, 1000 euros until tomorrow, or I'll kill me, someone will give me the money .
