Who is Ervin Mata?
Ervin Mata is known as the owner of one of the hotels located on "Dibra Street" in Tirana, a hotel which is actually registered in the name of his father. The latter also owns a company that deals with metal constructions.
In 2023, Mata was declared wanted as part of a criminal group of 11 people. This criminal group is suspected of trafficking tons of cocaine from Latin America to Europe.

SPAK did not arrest Elvana Gjata, and even announced that it had launched a property investigation against her, but this investigation revealed that she had legitimate assets, when trafficker Ervin Mata bought her a villa, a clothing store, a massage center, apartments, cars, etc.

Mata surrendered to the Police Station, 5 months after being declared wanted for this incident.

Just two days after surrendering, the Court ordered him to report twice a month to the Prosecutor's Office, which had requested his arrest. Mata was charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of a weapon.
