Tirana Police have documented 9 thefts that occurred in the capital, while 2 people have been arrested and another is wanted. In an official announcement, the Police said that they have also seized a quantity of narcotics suspected of cocaine, combat ammunition and a pair of gloves that one of the arrested was using to hide.
"As a result of the administration of reports from various citizens for theft of property or assets, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2 finalized 2 operations during the last 24 hours. Specifically:
As part of the "Friday" operation, citizen A. Ll., 42 years old, was arrested. This citizen is suspected of being the author of 7 thefts, 5 bicycles and 2 subjects where he stole various items;
within the framework of the operation "Cooperation", citizen ED, 29 years old, was arrested, and citizen O. Sh., 28 years old, was declared wanted. On 14.09.2025, the 29-year-old stole a sum of money from the subject of citizen FQ, while on 17.09.2025, in collaboration with the 28-year-old, they stole 3 laptops from the subject of citizen AF.
Further, during the physical search of citizen ED, the Police services found and seized a pair of black gloves used to commit theft, a quantity of narcotics suspected of cocaine, and combat ammunition.
"Work is underway to document other thefts that may have been committed by these citizens. The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions," the Police announced.
